Who this is
JDH Portraits is operated by Julian den Hollander, a portrait photographer based in Kats, Zeeland, Netherlands. For anything on this page, or any question about your personal data, contact hello@jdhportraits.com.
The contact form doesn't send anything to a server
The form on the Contact page doesn't submit to a database or a server we run. When you press "Send inquiry," it opens your own device's email app with a pre-filled message addressed to us — nothing is transmitted until you actually send that email yourself, through your own email provider. If you don't send it, we never receive or see anything you typed. Once you do send it, it's an ordinary email, and we keep it the way we keep any other email — for as long as is reasonably needed to handle your inquiry, and deleted when it's no longer needed.
Third-party services used on this site
Two Google-run services load on every page, which means your browser makes a direct request to Google's servers — this can expose your IP address to Google as part of that request:
- Google Fonts — used to load the typefaces on this site.
- Google Website Translator — powers the EN/NL language toggle in the header.
Neither is something we control once the request leaves your browser. See Google's Privacy Policy for how they handle that data.
Instagram links on this site take you to instagram.com, which is operated by Meta and governed by Instagram's own privacy policy, not this one.
Cookies and analytics
This site does not currently set any cookies and does not run any analytics or advertising tracking. — If analytics or a tag manager are added in the future, this section will be updated to name the tool, explain what it tracks, and add a cookie-consent banner before it's activated where required by law. —
Your rights under GDPR
As a resident of the EU/EEA, you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of any personal data we hold about you (in practice, this means any email you've sent us), to object to or restrict how it's used, and to lodge a complaint with the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, if you believe your data hasn't been handled properly.
Changes to this policy
If what this site collects or which services it uses changes — for example, adding analytics — this page will be updated and the date at the top will reflect that.
